Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to the SHEAF Blog.

Despite our best intentions, we're not great at keeping this blog updated with our latest happenings. We are, however, definitely an active group, meeting at least once each week during term time.

If you'd like to make contact with Dunedin home educators, our contact details are in the column, below right.

We send out a weekly email newsletter with details of upcoming events, courses, gatherings etc.

You can also find us on Facebook (page is visible whether you're a facebook user or not)
http://www.facebook.com/SHEAFDunedin

Have a look through this blog to see the types of events we have organised in the past. You'll also find links to other blogs and articles that we find useful or informative, on the off-chance that you'll appreciate them too :~) (Look for these more general blog-posts under the label "Weekend Reading")

If you're not currently on our email list and would like to contact us, please email us at the address you can see in the column on the right. We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to 2010

Welcome back all!

Hope you enjoyed the holidays, and had a relaxing and refreshing Christmas and New Years break.

The term seems to have kicked off before I was quite ready for it this year, with our swimming classes at Moana Pool beginning this morning. If you'd like to join in with these, I'm sure it's not too late - just contact Swimsation at Moana Pool and say you'd like to join the Homeschool group on Mondays. There are different classes for different abilities.

If you'd prefer just to turn up for a social swim, there are usually a group of us congregating around the wave pool from about 12noon onwards on Mondays.

Our first newsletter for the year is in the pipeline, and as usual all the notices will be posted here as well.

This year I also hope to post a link to a helpful or thought-provoking article on home education-type themes each week. If you come across one you'd like to share with the group then pass the link to me and I'll flick it up onto the blog.

Cheers all
Stacey
