Via Selina-Jane:
Hi There Homeschoolers across the Nation
I am a homeschooling mum of my youngest son who is 14yrs.
My work background along with my husband has been in the Film and Television industry. He now is a teacher and I of course homeschool as well as write screenplays, photography, drama, etc you know multitask!!
I got a small group of students together to make a short film. The end product was fantastic and the fun we had was immense and hands on teaching all the time!!
So to get to the point I need your help and support.
We have entered this into the Twinings short film festival and we need your votes via computer.
Please go to www.twiningsfilmfestival.co.nz
our film is on the second page of entries and is called A Drink with Friends featuring Santa.
I plan to make more short films as this is a great opportunity to teach the students the huge amounts of work that even a small production takes. Our work experience in this field makes some of the mystery surrounding how things are done easier - yes - but also we know where to cut corners and make the process faster.
If any of you would like to contribute or be involved please contact me - YES anyone including the folks on the "Mainland" of our beautiful country.
Thanks and please vote!

DISNEY CHANNEL CASTING CALL FINALIST
My teenage daughter, Hayley, who was previously homeschooled was chosen as one of the 5 finalists out of 6000 entries in the Casting Call competition.
We had to attend workshops and formal audition in Sydney recently. We are now relying on public vote to help with the final selection so another ask if you could please go to the website www.disneychannel.com.au and click on casting call it will take you to the five finalists. My daughters name is Hayley.
I know I know An ask from someone you don't know but we all must lobby together and support publicly the successes of our children so homeschool will continue to show positive results in ALL fields.
Many Thanks Community
Regards

Welcome to our blog!
Welcome to the SHEAF Blog.
Despite our best intentions, we're not great at keeping this blog updated with our latest happenings. We are, however, definitely an active group, meeting at least once each week during term time.
If you'd like to make contact with Dunedin home educators, our contact details are in the column, below right.
We send out a weekly email newsletter with details of upcoming events, courses, gatherings etc.
You can also find us on Facebook (page is visible whether you're a facebook user or not)

Have a look through this blog to see the types of events we have organised in the past. You'll also find links to other blogs and articles that we find useful or informative, on the off-chance that you'll appreciate them too :~) (Look for these more general blog-posts under the label "Weekend Reading")
If you're not currently on our email list and would like to contact us, please email us at the address you can see in the column on the right. We'd love to hear from you!
